Telephone number 188 of the Directory Assistance

The Directory Assistance service on telephone number 188 is available to the customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

With one call towards the 188 number, you may only obtain data on one telephone number. The call to 188 costs MKD 5 plus 18% VAT, or MKD 5.90 VAT inclusive.

What else should you do to obtain the requested information via 188?

After you have dialed 188 and heard the introductory message, follow the voice machine instructions;

• If you know the name and surname or address of the subscriber and you wish to obtain information on his/her telephone number, press 1 from the digits on your telephone set. After you press 1, you will hear from an operator to whom you need to tell the subscriber’s data (name, surname, name of company, city or address), and you will obtain the requested number from a voice machine.
• If you know the telephone number and you wish to obtain information on its holder or their address, press 2 and follow the instructions of the voice machine
• You need to enter the telephone number, together with the town prefix (02xxxxxxx - 046xxxxxxx), by pressing the digits on your telephone set.

In order to be able to use these advantages, you need to have a tone dialing telephone. Otherwise, the system will repeat the voice machine instructions twice and then an operator will take over to provide you with the requested information.
